Note: Our upcoming meeting of Sunday, December 2 is to begin promptly at 3:00 pm.  The meeting is to be held at Dover Ford's house and we will be trying to keep the meeting's length to about an hour.

October 9 - Spring Event Subcommittee Meeting

A meeting of the Spring Event Subcommittee was held on October 9. At the meeting details of the pancake breakfast and related activities to be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 were discussed. The minutes from the meeting can be found here. (pdf)

September 9 Meeting

An in-depth meeting of the Ryegate 250th Committee was held on Sunday, September 9th at Dover Ford's House. At this meeting all of the various sub-committees in charge of the seasonal events of the year-long celebration forthcoming in 2013 reported out. The events are taking shape in much greater detail at this point as can be seen here in the minutes from the meeting. Additionally, subcommittee reports and budgets can be found here:

Sub-committees will next be meeting this October at various times and places, and then the full Ryegate 250th Committee will again meet Sunday, December 2, at 3:00 pm at Dover Ford's House. One thing that has become readily apparent from the committee's work thus far is the need for more volunteers to help with the extensive events that are planned. If you have yet to get involved in the 250th Celebration, you are needed!

May 20th Meeting

A meeting was held May 20th and the minutes to this meeting can be found here. A report from the fall event committee (the largest of our planned celebrations) can be found here.

The next meeting is to be held Sunday, September 9th at Dover Ford's house at 4 pm. All committees should have their budgets prepared for this meeting. Also, committees should have recruited their members at this time, too. Please review the minutes for details.

March 25th Meeting

The Ryegate 250th Committee met again this past Sunday. Much progress is being made in the planning for the events, which are set to commence in the winter of 2013. The minutes of the meeting can be found here and contain many of the details of the seasonal (winter, spring, and summer) events shaping up, which then culminate with a grand fall celebration the weekend that marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Ryegate Charter - the weekend of September 7 & 8, 2013.

Work is underway ...

Many residents, who share in their enthusiasm for the upcoming 250th anniversary of Ryegate, have started to gather and work on a calendar of events for the occasion. A meeting was held on Sunday, February 12 at Dover Ford's house. The minutes for this meeting can be found here.
