Winter Carnival!

Well, Winter Carnival has come and gone. This was unquestionably a great day for the town of Ryegate. Lots can be said about this terrific event, such as the hard work that came to fruition, or the great outdoor fun that we shared with out neighbors, and on.

September 9 Meeting

An in-depth meeting of the Ryegate 250th Committee was held on Sunday, September 9th at Dover Ford's House. At this meeting all of the various sub-committees in charge of the seasonal events of the year-long celebration forthcoming in 2013 reported out. The events are taking shape in much greater detail at this point as can be seen here in the minutes from the meeting. Additionally, subcommittee reports and budgets can be found here:

Sub-committees will next be meeting this October at various times and places, and then the full Ryegate 250th Committee will again meet Sunday, December 2, at 3:00 pm at Dover Ford's House. One thing that has become readily apparent from the committee's work thus far is the need for more volunteers to help with the extensive events that are planned. If you have yet to get involved in the 250th Celebration, you are needed!
